Decision on Our Film Title

Today we have agreed on the title for our film. By analysing the plot of the film, as a group we discussed and developed a number of titles in which our film could suitably adopt. Due to the inevitable changes that our film will have through the process of creating it we decided to choose the title once all the filming was complete. This meant that we could observe the final storyline of the film and adapt the film title to suit it. We wanted to come up with a unique and powerful title which would intrigue and interest the audience. Here were some of the suggestions we came up with:

 Incendiary Contents Unknown

Terror Trace

An Obligation of Malice

Contents Unknown

The Dominant Commodity

     After discussing and narrowing down the options to The Dominant Commodity or Contents Unknown, we decided to choose the title in which was most appropriate. Our film will now be named The Dominant Commodity. This is because we thought this title related best to the plot of the film as well as having a strong, dynamic ring to it. As all the events are consequences of the key factor being the briefcase, "Dominant Commodity" represents this preeminent object which the story is based around. The word "dominant" tells the audience of a superiority, while "commodity" gives the audience an idea of a certain essential object. The name creates an enigma around what this "commodity" is, making the audience want to find out for themselves by watching the film.
